The Crystal Matrix of the Body – Part Two

The human body is a sophisticated and multifaceted antenna system composed of a crystalline matrix that constantly transmits and receives (transceiver) all kinds of reported energies. The matrix is mainly made up of two special types of crystals known as piezoelectric and liquid crystals. In the first part, we covered the function of piezoelectric crystals and how they convert electrical energy to mechanical energy and vice versa, creating piezoelectricity. In Part Two, we will investigate the role of liquid crystals in the body’s matrix.

Like piezoelectric crystals, liquid crystals also sense mechanical stress and change shape. These are the same type of crystals found in many computer monitors and flat screen televisions. The sticky substance that forms at the bottom of a soap dish also contains liquid crystals.

According to Professor Peter J. Collings, who wrote the de facto standard book on this subject titled Liquid Crystals: Nature’s Delicate Phase of Matter, liquid crystals have become a major source of research since the 1960s. They are of particular interest for biologists because liquid crystals can also detect minute changes in levels of electromagnetic radiation.

Cell membranes are liquid crystal structures. The configuration they form helps to segregate different parts of the cell from each other. Investigation of cell membrane function may lead to a greater understanding of why some anesthetics work so well, even at low doses. A better understanding of how liquid crystals work in the body can also help treat diseases like multiple sclerosis, sickle cell anemia, and even cancer. Because the DNA arrangement in chromosomes also has a liquid crystal structure, geneticists are also investigating these unique components.

Collings also suggests that “the ability of biological organisms to form fluid structures of some rigidity in an aqueous environment is fundamental to the existence of life on this planet.” James L. Oschman, author of Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis, echoes this sentiment by stating that “crystalline arrangements are the rule, not the exception, in living systems.” He goes on to suggest that energy and body workers using quartz, shells and stones, which are also crystalline materials, create resonant interactions with liquid crystal structures found in tissues. He states that “the crystalline components of the living matrix act as a coherent molecular antenna, radiating and receiving signals.”

The way to tune up this antenna is by repeating practices like yoga, martial arts, or even playing an instrument. These disciplines also involve training, which is mindfulness of the rhythms of breathing and heartbeat that bring the activity of the body and brain waves into a synchronous and harmonious state. Entrainment of the crystalline matrix in this way brings the entire being into a state of coherence. In other words, the whole being becomes a great resonant antenna.

Coherent states are also an important topic of study in quantum physics. Much attention is currently being paid to the properties and characteristics of a Bose-Einstein condensate. Instead of the molecules of a substance acting as individual entities, when cooled to the point of reaching a level of condensation, they suddenly act as a unit. The point particles take on a wave nature, overlapping and interacting in such a way that they lose their individual identities.

Oschman goes one step further by saying that the entrainment process is aided by phonons, which are a unit of measurement for the sonic vibrational energy that occurs in a crystal lattice structure. He specifically defines them as “electromechanical waves in a piezoelectric medium.” The phonons couple the natural sounds of the body, such as those produced by the heart and lungs, to the crystalline structures of the body.

Phonons are to sound waves what photons are to light waves. The phonons are considered to be quantum harmonic oscillators, which means that they are spaced at discrete, regular intervals. Mathematically, they obey the same statistical relationships found in quantum coherent light systems, such as a laser.

Most beginner meditation practices focus on breathing and slowing down your heart rate. Through sound, this causes the activity of the body and brain to enter a synchronous state and begins to properly align the body’s antenna system to receive higher frequencies by inducing a coherent state.

From our bones to our cells, the crystalline matrix of the body makes it a great antenna for the transmission and reception of many types of informed energies, including those that filter through the subtle energy bodies. Ancient traditional Chinese medicine states that this flow between the physical body and the subtle energy bodies occurs through exit and entry points along the meridian system. Placing the body in certain ritual postures, such as those found in Tai Chi and yoga, helps to transceive these informed energies.
