Health Watch – Grilled grouper with teriyaki sauce

What is a grouper? If this is the first time you’ve heard of it, here it is: it’s just a fish, but it belongs to one of the largest fish families in the seabass family. The most common grouper sold in the market is the red grouper. This is generally bought by people due to its nutritional value and an addition to that, being delicious. It can be cooked any way you like, whether it’s steamed, fried, baked, and broiled or roasted. Because this type of fish is lean, most people would add a little marinade or drizzle it to keep the meat moist.

Here is a recipe for cooking grouper. Follow directions carefully to avoid wasting valuable ingredients and time.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon reduced sodium teriyaki sauce
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
2 (4 oz each) group steaks,
2 lemon slices
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Let’s cook!
Prepare a small bowl; add the teriyaki sauce and garlic. Using a whisk, mix carefully until all of the mixture has been combined. Set it aside for later. You will use this as a marinade for the fish fillet.

When done, grab a skillet that suits your fish fillet. Brush some teriyaki sauce that you made earlier on both sides. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to let the fish marinate for a while. Take your grill or rotisserie that you have been putting away to test for a long time and clean it up. Heat it over medium-high heat. Place grill rack 4 inches from heat source.

After heating up the grill, place the fish on top and let it cook for about 5-10 minutes, then turn the fish over to the other side and let it cook for about 5-10 minutes as well. To check if it is cooked, you can prick it with a fork. You can drizzle it with a little teriyaki sauce while cooking if you’d like, but since you’re on a healthy diet, a sprinkle would suffice.

Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the grill and place it on a clean plate. Squeeze 1 lemon wedge over each of the fillets and you’re done with your meal prep. You can have fresh orange juice to accompany your plate. Eat right and give your body the nutrients it needs.

You cannot forbid yourself to eat what you crave. But a little discipline would help get the job done; You can eat your favorite foods 1 or 2 a month, but not often. Try other recipes that have other health benefits; maybe you can find something more attractive and tasty to eat. Before cooking, it is better to check if it has the nutritional values. You can also add some herbs and spices to this recipe if you want, as long as it is good for your body.
