Pennington is located on the south coast, about 3 km from the mouth of the Mzinto River. It is located about 80 km south of Durban city center. Pennington has a very good tea room as you enter Pennington. Myles and her staff are very friendly and have a wide variety of groceries.

The main shopping center is near the beach. It has a wonderful antique shop, pharmacy, laundry, supermarket, bottle shop, post office, estate agents, hairdresser, gift and lighting shop, nursery and of course a “local” pub.

Medical
Dr. Vach is the local GP who, together with his wife and team, runs an efficient and dedicated practice.

schools
Pennington has its own preschool. There are two choices of primary schools, Sezela Primary or Scottburgh Primary and the secondary school is also located in Scottburgh which is about a 15 minute drive away.

Tennis, bowling, badminton, squash and a gym are within walking distance. Yoga classes, line dancing, bridge, aerobics classes are held in the town hall.

The lifestyle in Pennington is very laid back and friendly as it is just a small town and everyone soon gets to know each other.
