As the weather gets warmer in the UK we may start to see more and more flies, bugs and insects, some big and some small. First, a dirty house is more likely to attract pests. Be sure to clean the bin regularly and clean up food and drink spills soon after they happen. Bugs don’t mind eating off the ground! The more food mess left, the more likely ants and flies will appear.
Keep all food or drinks, especially sugary or carbohydrate foods/drinks, sealed and out of sight. This not only keeps them cool for you, but also prevents wasps and ants from being tempted into your home. Ants especially love sugary drinks like cola and foods like jams.

Also see how they are getting into your house, look for holes and cracks they might be getting in through. Once you’ve identified their route, you can seal it to prevent them from coming back.
