Five instructions for positive parenting

Today, in this world we live in, raising a child can be not only a cumbersome task but also a difficult one, largely due to the fact that there are too many distractions.

Christian parenting is something that is becoming a big problem for many families as they want their children to be raised as good Christians. However, just a few simple steps, if followed sincerely, will surely help you raise your child as a good Christian.

1) Illuminate

You need to emphasize to your child the importance of faith and the importance of always staying close to religion. Spend some time with your child and tell him why religion is important and why it will make a difference in his life.

2) Narration

In all honesty, all children love stories and if the story is inspiring, they will take to the characters in the story as role models. Also, the Bible has so many stories to tell about the best attributes of humanity and how a simple man turned to his religion and got everything he ever wanted. Tell your son or daughter about those stories in an engaging way. If you do that, they will surely have more than one reason to want to grow up and be good Christians.

3) Say your prayers together

Develop the habit of praying together, whether at mealtimes or at bedtime. Get down on your knees and pray with your children, as this will not only bring them closer to religion, but it will plant a thought to always do it regularly, even when they reach the age of maturity.

4) Eliminate evil

In every society there is good and there is evil. Tell your kids about this part of society and do your best to make sure they never get close to evil. However, a man is always prone to making mistakes, which means that there will be times when his children may do something wrong, intentionally or not. Instead of physically beating them, punish them in some other way (in a constructive way) so that the idea of doing something wrong stops for fear of punishment and the wrath of God.

5) Judgment Day

Make your children realize the importance of Judgment Day. Once they know all about that day, they will have a clear picture ahead and will do their best to refrain from practices that interfere with Christian parenting.
