A lesson in the law of attraction: use the energy of regret to attract what you want

A few weeks ago I was regretting it. When I took a look at my thoughts, I discovered that they were all focused on the past. He was regretting the words he hadn’t said, the actions he hadn’t taken, and the choices he had passed up. So I took out my pen and paper and wrote a letter to my Higher Self asking for guidance.

The guidance I received turned my feelings of regret into a powerful enthusiastic energy, so I wanted to share this recent story with you. This is what my Higher Self said:

“Regret is a sign that you are looking at your world with limiting thoughts instead of abundant ones. You think that missed opportunities will never appear again. You forget that life keeps giving you more than you really want. It’s a little more difficult to trust. This is when your big dreams are not manifesting in the way you would like. You don’t take your intimate relationships, money in the bank, health, or success at work lightly, do you?

Practice with smaller things and see how you can turn your regret into positive energy that works for you and not against you. Once you know how to take charge of your own feelings to attract small things, you will also know how to attract your biggest desires. “

At that moment I had a Aha! moment. This is what I realized and what happened next.

Right before moving into my new house, I bought a couple of folding metal chairs for my new kitchen. They had a Victorian rose pattern and I loved them. But when I moved in, it seemed like they weren’t quite right so I took them off. A few weeks later, I still had no chairs in my kitchen, and in hindsight I was sorry I returned them.

Now Kona, where I live, is a small town. Many things only appear once in the few specialty stores we have. But here’s something I knew for sure. There would be other chairs to choose from. A lot of. Maybe not exactly the same ones he had bought before, but he knew he would find another set.

Suddenly I started to get excited and instead of looking back I began to imagine what could be ahead. I started to wonder. What do I really want? By the way, asking this question is a great way to keep your creative energy focused in a positive direction.

I surfed the Internet looking at pictures of folding chairs. It was then that I got really excited. I saw something even better that I wanted even more than I had before. I wanted a small table with a tile top to go with my chairs. Now the image I saw was of a bistro with blue tiles. I thought it would be perfect in a different color. So I printed the image and planned to put it on a new vision board sometime in the week.

One thing I know for sure: my feelings of regret are gone. Now I was inspired, excited and excited.

Two days later, while driving through town, I felt the urge to go to the store where my original chairs came from. There, placed on the floor just hours before, was the first and only tile bistro set I’d ever seen in that store. It was pink and green, the perfect color for my new home and when I saw it I knew it was exactly what I had asked for.

Even more exciting was the realization that by consciously taking charge of my own thoughts and feelings, I had turned my feelings of regret into positive energy that drew exactly what I wanted into my world. I loved seeing how the Law of Attraction works.

Feelings make the difference in the speed with which our desires manifest. When we have doubts, fears, ambivalent feelings or regrets, it is good to take some time to turn them around before going shopping. Feeling good attracts more good. It really is as simple and detailed as that.

With practice we can learn to apply the same Universal Principles to attract more than chairs. We can turn to love relationships, large amounts of money, and whatever else we really want.
